Hello and welcome back to me ;)Since we last shared thoughts I have worked out three more times with my trainer. That might not sound like a lot to you, but you have to understand I only work out with her when I've earned enough cash from my weekend job.
The bad news first... I'm still not comfortable running for longer than three mimutes. I'm going to go back to a brisk walk on a pretty big incline and get my knee back to comfortable before picking up the running again.
The good news... I've lost 10 lbs in 24 days. 70 more to go!
I'd write more but I've got to finish some work and head out to make some healthy dinner choices!

Running away from running towards something even scarier... a trainer!
So a lot has happened since you were last subjected to my ramblings. Welcome back, your day will be complete after you read this post.
As you know, I picked back up where I left off before the holidays and got an "aftershock" of a calf cramp. I went back for some more the next day and instead did some free weights which inspired me to call a trainer. I've worked with Heather once before with a friend and really enjoyed her style. Shes upbeat but still won't let me get away with any negativity.
Our first workout together was Friday the 7th, and I asked her to take it easy on my arms because of my weekend OG shifts. Instead we focused on legs and my lovely budankadank. We spent a half hour together, more than enough time for me to gain soreness in my entire lower body for the entire weekend. It was a good sore, don't get me wrong, I love that feeling... but it didn't bode well for my OG customers who wanted a super speedy server.
I attempted the workout on my own on Monday and succeeded in doing something to my bum knee. Some kind of crunching noises were heard as well as that gut feeling that I now had a new boo boo. I iced immediately and have been icing ever since, but we're a tid bit swollen and not very bendy at the moment.
Heather and I will push through this set back and do some core and arm training this evening. I have major goals in mind and I have been rewarded for my hard work by losing 3 lbs in a week! I've accomplished this by going to the gym everyday and doing at least a little something on top of tracking my food and calorie intake. I've also majorly changed my water drinking habits and went from absolutely zero water in one day to 87-120 ounces average a day!!! I should say I have the cutest water bottle to drink from ;)

Back to the grind!
Today was fun.... not. Yet I'm oddly happy and very motivated, let's see how long this will last.
Let's start with breakfast... Cinnamon Life cereal with skim milk, score, go me. By 10 I am starving and ready for my mid morning snack... only I can't have my snack because I have my bodpod appointment. The bodpod tells you how fat you really are... and I'm pretty fat. After I talked about my fatness and my soon to be skinny self, I got a McDonald's salad. I usually hear McDonald's and think, woah, calorie central! But no, wait, they make a pretty low calorie salad as long as you do a bit of tweaking. If you're in a pinch and can only see golden arches from where you are stadning, don't be afraid, I will share my secret meal with you.
Bacon Ranch Salad with Grilled Chicken. Ask for no bacon, and substitute the low fat balsamic vinaigrette instead of ranch. 260 Calories!! woot woot!
I concluded the afternoon with some dried fruit and a 100 calorie snack pack, 120 ounces of water and 12 restroom visits.
Dinner was bruschetta from Bar Louie due to a work dinner meeting. I came home and jumped right on that treadmill! That's right people, I'm back into the running game. I will say that the lady who did my bodpod exam said running was "bad for someone my size" but I don't plan on listening to her because it's a goal to get this 5k thing done by the summer.
I did get a cramp in my calf again, not as bad as last time so I stopped running and finished with a walk and some weight training. I know the burning question on your mind is, 'Lindsay, what did you ever think to have for your evening snack?' I won't keep you in the dark any longer... a fruit smoothie. Happy?
Get ready, we have a goal in mind but if I told you that goal you would say I'm crazy... instead I'll keep it to myself and tell you at a later date. Welcome back everyone! Goodnight!
